Members SHOULD attend a minimum of 9 times per quarter, each 13-week period. Each Chapter Treasurer
keeps a simple attendance sheet. If attending less frequently, a
warning should be given, and if attendance is continuously poor,
ultimately and unless cured or remedied, the member runs the risk of being asked
to leave and replaced by another of their business type.
-
If
one is a presenter, and has not been attending, they will be moved back
on the presenter list automatically for 3 weeks. The cure is
attendance 3 weeks in a row, before being placed back on the
"presenter" list.
-
If
one cannot attend a meeting for any reason, a courtesy call or e-mail should be
made to any one of the five (5) board members, notifying them of your
intended absence. E-mail of this is fine.
-
Two
persons from one firm may share the attendance responsibility and cost
of one seat in the chapter, provided they perform the same function
Full/Time and get approval from the membership committee. While
permitted, this may not be the best method of reputation building,
becoming a trusted referral partner and could be more difficult to
accomplish with two members instead of one.
-
Meetings start sharply at 7:30 AM each week on the same day (unless otherwise decided by the chapters board)
-
Adhering to the agenda with professional conduct at all times is required.
-
Payments of $10 (Cash Only) unless otherwise determined by the local chapter board, are given to the Chapter Treasurer
and should be made upon entry each week. Covers breakfast, tax, tip and
any extra go to the chapter for their holiday party.
-
No
collections of weekly breakfast fees or taking of breakfast orders
permitted after 7:45 and during meeting. This is done during the "networking portion" of the meeting between 7;30 and 7:45 each week. Sergeant at Arms begins the formal portion of the meeting at 7:45 AM.
-
All
breakfast orders should be written down, numbered and given to the wait
staff during the initial 15 minutes and no later. Late arrivals should
give their beverage and breakfast order outside the meeting room and
enter quietly.
-
Anyone
ordering only one (1) beverage at breakfast (coffee, tea, juice, or
milk) may elect to pay $5 only. This will cover their beverage, tax
and tip and extra will go to the treasurer and chapter Holiday party.
-
All
others pay the weekly fee and should order breakfast and beverage, paying the fare the
chapter has established. EXCEPTION: Anyone ordering multiple
beverages, foods, and more, will be asked to pay additional.
Reminder: Tax and tip are 26-30% alone. An order of $15 will cost $19-$20 and $20 will cost $25-$26. Please be considerate of others in this regard.
-
No
documents should be distributed during meetings other than by that
weeks presenter. A table for cards and handouts should be setup next
to the group for this sole purpose. Members should make a point to
stop by on their way in or out of each meeting.
-
Board
will conduct meetings and direct discussions, cover elevator speeches,
a member presentation, lead status review and a review of "Who's
needed" in the chapter at the end of each meeting.
-
Leads2Biz corporate may send the board an announcement to be made at the weekly meeting, and if so, it should be read by the President of the Chapter or other officer. If a representative of Leads2Biz attends, the Chapter President should
introduce them and explain who they are and that they are here today to
view the meeting and ask if they have a corporate announcement to
make. They are not there to take over the meeting.
-
Board will conduct all votes before or after meeting start or adjournment, however, not in front of membership.
-
Guests should be introduced by the person bringing them or the Meeting Director, and they will give their elevator speech last, in order to better understand by hearing the others first.
-
Chapter President should
read off a list of those positions that are vacant and need to be
filled in the chapter at the end of each meeting. They should also
announce any new members or positions that need filling or
replacement.
-
Leads2Biz representative may join any member or board meeting without prior written or phone call notification.
-
Confidentiality,
both during and after meetings is essential. As Trusted Referral
Partners, it is important that names are left at all times when
discussing leads and referrals among the group. Clients would not
appreciate our dropping their names at meetings and discussing their
details in front of a dozens of people. What goes on in a Leads2Biz meeting must remain in a
meeting. Keep all discussions of our business between us and don't
discuss our plans with competitors or anyone outside your chapter and Leads2Biz.
-
Any discussion to form a competing chapter or group outside Leads2Biz, with the Leads2Biz membership, whether at cost or no cost, is strictly forbidden at all times, as it is not in the best interest of Leads2Biz or its membership. Violators will be brought before the Etics Chairperson and risk termination of their membership.
